Joseph Samuel Girardi (1 novembre 1928-28 febbraio 2019), meglio conosciuto come Joe Girard, è stato un venditore, oratore motivazionale e autore americano. Gerrard ha venduto 13.001 auto in una concessionaria Chevrolet tra il 1963 e il 1978 ed è stato riconosciuto nel Guinness dei primati come il venditore del maggior numero di auto in un solo anno (1425 nel 1973). Gerrard in seguito divenne un oratore motivazionale di successo, tenendo presentazioni regolari a clienti aziendali tra cui General Motors, Hewlett-Packard e Kmart. Ha risieduto a Grosse Pointe Shores, nel Michigan, fino alla sua morte.

Gerard era figlio di Antonino Girardi, "un uomo molto povero di origine siciliana". Ha lavorato fin dalla prima infanzia. Dopo aver abbandonato la scuola superiore, ha iniziato a lavorare come lustrascarpe, poi ha lavorato come edicolante presso la Detroit Free Press, lavastoviglie, addetto alle consegne, montatore di stufe e imprenditore edile.
