Wolf Larsen controls the ship and his crew with his arrogance, but somehow he takes care of Humphrey. Wolf fights many of the situations that his crewmates face as he takes on a powerful position on the ship, except that he emerges as a winner each time by killing his crew members. In another incident, a poet named Maude Brewster, known to Humphrey as a writer on board the ship. Soon, both Humphrey and Wolf fell in love with her. But Brewster just loves Humphrey.
