Dr. Nayef Bin Nahar, Director of the Ibn Khaldun Center for Social and Human Sciences at Qatar University and Chairman of the Wa’i Foundation for Studies and Research.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies from Qatar University in 2008. He obtained a Master’s degree in jurisprudence and its foundations, with distinction, in 2011 from the International Islamic University, Malaysia. He obtained a Ph.D. from the same university in jurisprudence and its principles with distinction as well in 2014, and the thesis in both degrees was related to Islamic banking. Dr. Nayef bin Nahar also obtained another PhD in 2018 in political science from the International Islamic University in Malaysia, and the thesis was on the subject of the constant and variable in the democratic system.
Dr. Nayef bin Nahar has seven books on various fields of knowledge, including: “Islamic Banking in the State of Qatar,” “Introduction to International Relations,” “Democracy as It Is,” and “The Case for the Logical Correlation between Islam and Secularism.” He has published about ten peer-reviewed papers in various scientific journals, including “Moral Induction at Al-Shatibi: A Critical Study,” “Sharia Mechanisms for the Formation of Islamic Branches’ Capital,” and “Towards a Proposed Methodology for Establishing the Science of Oddity.” Dr. Nayef presented a new theory in the science of international relations called "The Deterrent Arm" and obtained its intellectual property on February 7, 2016.
